Japan Club

Japan club is a student-run club, open for all year levels that is in A108. As a group, we explore all aspects of Japan from its traditional culture to anime and games. The club gathers every Friday at second break, and we regularly organise games and schoolwide events, as well as plenty of opportunities to win prizes. Japan Club  Council consists of membersdedicated to organising and running all activities. This year's activity theme is food.

Recently, Japan Club announced the 1,000 papercrane challenge, where groups are challenged to make 1,000 paper cranes in 15 weeks. This is an exciting schoolwide challenge open to all students.

Japan Club also takes part in school events such as Harmony Day and Open Day. To contribute this year we learned a dance and performed it to the school, as well as serving Okonomiyaki (Japanese Pancakes).

Japan Club also has a branch group on Monday second break, called Manga Community. Every year, Manga Community creates a manga (or several), to be displayed to the school. Students in Manga community have the opportunity to learn many skills involved in creating a manga, such as writing, plotting, scripting and editing, drawing and inserting the text into the manga. This club provides students the enjoyment and chance to get involved in the world of the manga industry and improve their skills.
